Thank you
again for your thoughtfulness. I was surprised to see the yearbook
pictures of Lenny and Michael Landau. A few years ago when in Princeton, we
stopped in Landau's, the store, and spoke with one of the younger brothers. He
called Lenny in Sarasota, Florida for me and we talked for a while; good
memories.

wish you and yours a ZISSEN PESAC
Dear Mr. Finkle,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Elena Every and I'm currently a student at Princeton University. I am in the process of conducting research on Trenton's Jewish community in the 1960s and I am reaching out in the hopes that you might be able to aid my work—I found your name mentioned multiple times throughout Ed Alpern's blog and I have also spent an extensive amount of time sorting through your Trenton Jewish Historical Society blog.
My project is focused on Trenton’s Jewish population in the 1960s and I’m hoping to explore the reasons for this community’s decline and eventual disappearance. I’m exploring a few factors in specific: attempting to distinguish if the exodus was driven by businesses or individual residents; the success of businesses and if this caused a desire to expand/move to wealthier nations (and factors that led to their success); the Jewish tradition of the 2nd generation leaving behind the trades and occupations of their parents; and if government influence, through the construction of the highway system, played a role in these processes. So far I’ve had a great interview with Sylvia Schultz and Herb Spiegel but I am still looking to obtain more material on this incredible community; I am especially hoping to explore more of the previously mentioned factors that led to the demographic shift of this community. Would you possibly be open to having a phone call sometime in the next week to share any information or stories that you might have? If not, it would be greatly appreciated if you had any other contacts or sources that you could put me in connection with.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you.
Best,
Elena Every

Hello, I hope all is well with
you and your family, and that you are having a fun, fulfilling week. I
keep receiving beautiful advertisements about what the Cemetery Project
is doing, it's very exciting. But each time I write to Cousin Al about
receiving pictures of my parents' tombstone, and I get no response.
Can you help me? Do you know anything about this situation? Thank
you, bless you.
